EPCs as part of a wider assessment

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rates a home from A to G and is required when a property is sold or let. It is produced from an RdSAP survey, the same survey that forms the core of a PAS 2035 retrofit assessment.

Eco Home Co does not offer standalone EPCs. Instead an EPC is included whenever we carry out a retrofit assessment, and can be produced as part of a whole-house refurbishment survey or heat pump and solar assessment. This means that the certificate reflects a proper inspection of the home and you receive practical recommendations alongside it, rather than a rating on its own.

When an EPC is produced for you

• As the lodged output of a PAS 2035 retrofit assessment
• Where a landlord needs to demonstrate compliance with minimum energy efficiency standards and plan improvements
• Where a grant scheme requires a current EPC and an assessment of eligible measures
• Where a new EPC is needed after improvements have been completed, to record the improved rating

If you only need an EPC for a sale or letting and no other advice, a local domestic energy assessor will usually be the quickest option.
