This policy explains how Eco Home Co (Graham Reed, trading as Eco Home Co, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire) collects and uses personal information through this website and in the course of providing survey and assessment services.

Information we collect

• Enquiries: when you email or call us we collect your name, contact details, property address or postcode and the details of your enquiry.
• Surveys and assessments: to carry out a survey we collect details of your property, photographs, measurements and, for retrofit assessments, information about how the home is occupied and heated. Where an Energy Performance Certificate or retrofit assessment is lodged, the required data is submitted to the relevant government register and accreditation scheme.
• Website usage: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs including IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, to carry out and report on the services you have asked for, to lodge certificates and assessments where required, to keep records for accreditation and audit purposes, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep you informed.

Lawful basis

We process your information because it is necessary to perform a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into one, because we have a legitimate interest in running our business and responding to enquiries, and in some cases because we are required to by law or by the rules of our accreditation scheme.

Sharing

Where you ask us to, we share reports and specifications with installers, contractors, funding schemes or retrofit coordinators working on your project. Lodged assessments are shared with our accreditation scheme (ECMK) and the relevant national register. We use a third-party provider for website hosting; they process data only on our instructions.

Retention

Enquiry details are kept for up to two years. Survey and assessment records are kept for the period required by our accreditation scheme and for our professional indemnity insurance, normally at least six years, after which they are securely deleted.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. It does not use a contact form.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any of these rights please email graham1970@gmail.com.
