What the survey covers

• Measured survey and condition of the existing structure, walls, roof and floors
• Drainage, services and any constraints such as trees, boundaries and ground conditions
• Building Regulations Part L requirements for the new fabric and heating
• How the extension affects the existing heating system and whether it needs upsizing or replacing
• Opportunities to insulate and ventilate the existing house while the builders are on site
• Thermal bridging and airtightness details at the junction between old and new

We can act for you throughout the build through our project management service, carrying out stage inspections and checking that the energy details are built as designed.
